An important component of the Community Benefit Fund concept is local control. All grant/funding recommendations are made by a volunteer-based Allocation Committee, which is made up of local citizens and community leaders. Its job is to review grant applications and pick projects to recommend for funding. We believe that this local control will assure that the Community Benefit Fund dollars are spent in the most appropriate way.
